San Diego Border Roleplay Boat Smuggling Guide
Boat Smuggling opened Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET and the named weekend card closed Monday, August 17 at 1:00 PM ET. The systems stayed in the live game: smuggling docks near spawn, a smuggler NPC, water missions, a one-star wanted flag when you cross, and a Coast Guard team with three boats. This page is the post-launch loop — not a countdown.
Event Window vs Live Content
The Roblox event card ran August 15–17. Community write-ups from the weekend (including in-game testing published August 16) confirm docks, missions, boats, El Capo Mansion, and the bank revamp remained after the card ended. Treat water smuggling as a permanent civilian cash path alongside the land tunnel loop.
The experience title can still show [2X🏦] even while boats are live. Title banners are marketing; the dock NPC is the gameplay.
How Boat Missions Work
The loop mirrors truck jobs, but on water. Find the new smuggling docks close to spawn, talk to the smuggler NPC, accept a boat mission, take the assigned boat, cross the border, dodge Coast Guard, reach the black market, and collect the payout.
The moment you cross in a mission boat you pick up a one-star wanted level. Coast Guard players now have a reason to chase. Do not drive a perfectly straight line — boats turn well enough to cut and bait intercepts.
- Go to the smuggling docks near spawn
- Find the smuggler NPC and accept a boat mission
- Board the assigned boat
- Cross the border on water
- Avoid Coast Guard patrol, response, and weaponized boats
- Reach the black market and turn in the delivery
Payouts and Risk
Completed boat missions pay well enough to sit next to printers and the Autoshop roof loop as a civilian money method. Exact dollar tables still shift with biweekly balance patches — confirm the NPC prompt in-game.
Land goods (Fake Diamond Rings, crowbars, tunnel, Autoshop roof, Laundromat) still work. Use boats when you want active water roleplay; keep printers for AFK. Redeem ElDiabloIsntGettingBuffed first if you need seed cash for a boat run.
Playing Against Coast Guard
Coast Guard ranks up like Border Patrol or Police and unlocks three boats: Police Patrol Boat (general intercepts), Response Boat (fast reaction), and Weaponized Boat (combat on the water). See our Coast Guard team page and Boats item page.
Enforcement players should spawn at the docks, pick a boat that matches the chase, and roleplay the intercept instead of spawn-killing civilians at the NPC. Civilians should accept arrest when boxed in — exploits still mean bans.
